Dom Domingos College, Warri Emerge Champions of National Basketball Championship
The 24th edition of the Milo National Basketball Secondary Schools Championship came to an end earlier today in Lagos with Dom Domigos College Girls winning the female category of the tournament.
The Warri girls beat defending champions Topfield College, Ajegunle, to emerge champions of the competition.
Originally, both finalists progressed from group A which comprised them and Queen Amina College, Kaduna; while Group B comprised Government Secondary School, FCT Abuja; Zarumai Model School, Minna, Niger State, and new entrant into the competition, Onireke High School, Oyo State.
In a very keenly contested match, Dom Domingos, Warri beat former holders, Topfield College, Ajegunle, 44-38 to emerge champions of the 2024 Milo Secondary Schools Basketball Championship.Â
The event had begun on Saturday, June 22 at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos State.
