‘Warri is Becoming a Sight to Behold’ Clark Hails Oborevwori

Elder statesman and Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Clark, has commended Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori for the impressive progress made in the state since he became governor in May 2023.

In a letter released on Friday, Clark lauded Oborevwori for transforming the state’s commercial hub, Warri, and addressing long-standing infrastructure issues.

Although Clark did not support Oborevwori during the 2023 election, he recognised the governor’s quick achievements and challenged critics to point to any past Delta governor who had done as much in such a short time.

A major focus of Oborevwori’s work has been reviving Warri, a key commercial city that had been neglected in the past. Clark cited the ₦78 billion infrastructure projects underway, including the construction of three flyovers, a cloverleaf interchange, pedestrian bridges, and road expansions at the DSC Roundabout. These projects, are being carried out by Julius Berger.

“Warri is fast becoming a sight to behold, returning to its old self,” Clark stated, pointing to the positive changes happening in the society and the governor’s efforts to drive development across the state.
